Privacy

Short version: the calculators run in your browser, we set no cookies, and we never see your holdings.

What stays on your device

• Everything you type into a calculator — amounts, income, filing status, cost basis. The arithmetic runs in your browser and the inputs are not sent to us.
• Any holdings file you load. A CSV is read by your browser and is never uploaded.

What reaches our server

• Price look-ups. To fetch current prices the tax calculator sends the list of ticker symbols (for example “BTC, ETH”) to our server, which asks Coinbase's public price API. Quantities and cost basis are not sent.
• Anonymous page statistics. For each page view we record the page path, the referring site, the country (from our host's network, not a location lookup), whether the device is a phone or a desktop, and a random identifier that lives only in the current browser tab. No cookies, no IP address, no advertising identifiers. We also count when a calculator is used and when a provider link is clicked — never what was entered.
• Your email address, only if you ask for reminders. It is used for those emails and nothing else, is never sold or shared, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

Who processes it

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf. When you follow a link to a provider, that provider's own privacy policy applies from then on.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from email with the link in any message. To have your address deleted, use the unsubscribe link and it will not be used again.
